About Lexia Core5 Reading:
Personalised. Powerful. Proven. Lexia Core5 Reading accelerates the development of fundamental literacy skills for students of all abilities R-Y6. Based on performance on a research-validated, adaptive auto-placement, students begin Core5 at the level that's just right for them. From there, Core5 seamlessly adapts with student performance, targets skill gaps as they emerge, and equips teachers with the data and instructional resources they need to personalise instruction for every student. Students work in a structured, sequential manner with a focus on:
• Foundational reading skills to develop automaticity and fluency
• Listening and reading comprehension with complex text
• Academic language and domain-specific vocabulary to improve comprehension
Lexia’s patented Assessment Without Testing® technology provides teachers and administrators real-time, ongoing progress monitoring data without a test event--saving teachers up to a month of instructional time. Educators receive data-driven action plans that are simple to interpret and drive differentiated instruction. Within the first month of use, teachers will know each student's probability of meeting end-of-year, grade-level benchmarks, and will receive the recommended resources and intensity of instruction necessary to change the trajectory for at-risk students.
About Lexia:
Established with a promise to improve student literacy through the use of technology, more than one million students learn with Lexia. The company’s award-winning instructional approach has been nationally recognised and proven effective in 15 externally-reviewed research studies published in scientific journals such as British Journal of Education Psychology and Journal of Research in Special Education Needs.
